Rosa Prodromou studied Physical Theatre at Huddersfield University (G.B., 2000), and completed her MA on Intercultural Theatre Studies at Exeter (2002). She has been working as an actress in the theatre and cinema ever since. She started doing street theatre when she realized that direct contact with the people makes her feel like a harlequin on a hanging rope: to make people laugh through the risk of the present moment. She started by practicing fire juggling, and has been performing as a fairie-marionette in the streets of Athens and elsewhere for the past year. It involves a fairie figure of a marionette-dancer in stillness, which moves when there is a stimulant-reaction from the spectators. In that case I either offer a flower or improvise depending on the situation. The aim is to achieve the magic flow of contact with the spectators.
