PARAMYTHOSEDOUKO

Paramythoseduko - Chest of FairyTales
Niki Kapari -teacher- and Yannis Psimadas -musician- create the team Paramythoseduko - Chest of FairyTales in 2000. They research and collect Greek folk tales which are brought to life by Niki Kapari's narration and are accompanied with music and sounds by Yannis Psimadas. They love showing off their work in libraries and museums as they consider these places particularly lively and they want to make minors and seniors come in contact with the tradition and culture these places carry and inspire. They conduct narrative meetings for minors and seniors since 2000 in the National Garden's Children's Library and other libraries of the country. They cooperate with the National Archaeological Museum since 2006 in which they design and present the "Fairy-tale of Sunday in the Museum" based on the exhibits of the Museum with myths from the ancient Greek mythology. In 2006-2009 they present in the Ilias Lalaounis Jewellry Museum the programme "The fairy-tales of the world" based on the exhibits of the permanent collection and the temporary exhibitions of the Museum. In 2009, on the occasion of the International Year of Astronomy, they cooperated with the Library of the Eugenides Foundation by designing and presenting the narrative performance "The myths of the stars".
