  «Zao Zo company» is a non-profit association founded in 2003. This name composed of the verb “Ζω” “(to live in the Laconic dialect), expresses our desire for life and creativity and on the other hand it hides in it a poetic life stance: “Zao” in Chinese means “the man who dances under the rain”. Our objectives are: research and promotion of the theatrical art and experimentation on new forms of expression, the coexistence of theatre and other arts, like music, fine arts, dance, cooperation with other Greek and foreign artists, promotion of Greek culture, promotion of the female potential, research on the relation of science and art, cooperation with “sensitive” social groups. The spectacle consists of two farces by Henri Duvernois and Maurice Maeterlinck. Nounouche is a popular woman, a hunter of survival, who deliberately invades in Benjamin’s life, an egocentric petit-bourgeois, as his ex-nanny looking for a job. Through her simple yet paradoxal tricks she makes him throw out of his life his demanding mistress Bichette. Berniquel is the rich bourgeois, the husband who finds himself deceived practically and theoretically by his wife’s sophisties. The two farces are presented in a common thematic unity that refers to: 1. The historical course of the farce from a more rough, physic form to a more refined and based on verb form. 2. The notion of paranoia that remains a commonc caracteristic both of the period when the plays were written and today’s era, since it comes from the same ancient social patterns and the nevrotic universal theory. The woman who appears as the deceiver in both farces is superficially the evil force but underneath she mirrors a social patriarchic system whose tricks she perfectly imitates to survive. In fact, in a society based on inequality everybody is a victim. The expressionistic representation, based on the nature of the farce aims on a caustic critic of the modern reality.
