|
pAsoumi team was created in 2007 by Lia Yannakou, writer - actor and Petros Katsaros, musician and stage designer, who were deeply influenced by Lia Yannakou's play, "pAsoumi". In 2009, pAsoumi team gave 2 music performances entitled "The 13 signs of NAZK" at the Athens Fringe Festival. Two more members participated at these performances. Anna Kolkou, camerawoman, and Vassilis Ziakas, musician. Later on, two more members joined the team, in order to broaden its action. Thodoras Veneres, director, and Alvaro, musician, artist and juggler. As a whole, pAsoumi team consists of persons with multiple interests who search and find ways to come in contact with and entertain the audience. It is open to new artists, of different specialties who have something to give to the development of the presented tale. The tale is a music tale, full of verbal puns and endless continuity. We see the real world and we translate it with music, sounds, drawings and colours. The 13 signs of NAZK In our play, a team of human beings, pAsoumi team, declares that has come from NAZK - the planet mirror of the universe and the distorted mirror of the Earth and each member plays his/her role in accordance to the attribute that possesses in NAZK e.g. Petros Katsaros, the musician, is called psisas while Anna Kolkou is pasoumari etc. At the same time the narrator of the story, Lia Yannakou, presents as pAsoumi, each member of the performance, in their fairy names and then begins to narrate dancing and singing the reason why they are on Earth, this period of time. And the reason is that they have come to inform the earthy civilization that the stars have changed their position and the 13 news signs together with their months, days, hours, moments… represent us from now on. pAsoumi team consists of live examples of some of the constellations that are mentioned during the performance, in a way that plays with words. The rest are hidden in the audience and perhaps they may be revealed. KLAFTHMONOS SQUARE, 17/10 -14:00, 18/10 -17:00, 19/10 -13:00
